elementary my dear

Starting a new venture and needed some materials and inspiration so off to High Fashion Fabrics and High Fashion Home we (Pooh & I) went.  It's at the very early stages, but I was feeling like my creative self and felt a blog post was in order, without professional makeup application and a paid photographer.  Just discovered yesterday that I can relinquish some of my perfectionist ways and still present quality content, go figure!  Definitely not as easy as it sounds, when you're stubborn like me.  Just know it is good to have a dream, but don't be so rigid in the way you think you'll arrive at that dream.

hail zulu!

Been gone a quick minute, but I'm still kicking!  I went on vacation and took a break from everything, but I needed it, badly!  But Spring is here, so be on the look out for new looks and events.

As a newbie in the blogoshere with a small, but greatly appreciated, audience, I can't help but to sometimes say,"Hello, anybody out there?"  As a blogger, I try my best to present relevant content, that can help someone see themselves differently. But when you get limited feedback, it's hard to gauge if anyone is "hearing" you.  So imagine my surprise, when I was ask, " Danielle, you didn't post any pictures of your gown.  When are you going to post them?"  :-o  By more then a few people, in fact.
So let me explain, to my faithful and visitors, it's not that I didn't plan to post pictures, but the night of the ball was so hectic that we didn't take as many pictures as we probably would have hoped.  And to add to the crazy, I took a layer of skin off my chin from my wax job; I'm on Retin-A and didn't realize waxing was a no-no (glad I didn't wax my lip first) and my big toe that was almost severed off by my pedicurist which made walking in my moccasins uncomfortable, rendered walking in my fabulous 3 inch heels impossible. So, to say I was a little off kilter is an understatement.  These are literally my only pictures of the night, but we had a blast!

I will be doing a video about how I altered my strapless longline to fit my dress, so stay tuned...
